Deer Steaks

Most of the folks around these parts don't even bother with deer meat or venison because their wives don't like the gamey taste. I interviewed Janelle Orme and she passed along these tips and a simple recipe for cooking deer steaks.

Cut the deer into steak sized portions. Flour and panfry in real butter.

Janelle's best advice is to make sure you remove all the fat! The fat is the part that tastes "wild or gamey".
