Meat Side Dish: Slow Cooked Mashed Potatoes

Good with any meal of pork, chicken or steak.

Yields: about 6 servings Cook Time: 3 hours

Ingredients
4 medium sized potatoes
1 cup of milk
½ cup butter
Garlic salt

Instructions: Wash potatoes, then put them in a pot. Fill pot with water until it covers the tops of the potatoes. Bring potatoes to a boil for 5 minutes and then bring down to low heat. Let the potatoes slow cook for 3 hours or until soft all the way through. Once the potatoes are done peal them and then mash them. Add butter, and once it’s melted completely add the milk and garlic salt to taste.
